Established in 2000, Hi Tech Chemicals was formed as an extension of existing quality control laboratory services for the manufacturing arm of the company. It came into being out of a desire to support the chemical and sanitation programme provided by the Hi Tech sales department, and was envisioned as a means to offer clients a full service treatment through which the efficacy of their food safety and sanitation programmes could be monitored.
Today, the Laboratory is the only privately-owned, commercial quality assurance laboratory of its kind in Barbados. Staffed by a team of technicians highly qualified in relevant fields, we are committed to providing our customers with outstanding service and quality support. We specialise in a variety of microbiological tests, offering assistance to those in the food service and food manufacturing industries with the aim of maintaining and/or improving the safety and quality of their product(s). Our areas of expertise include:
• Raw material and finished product screening
• Environmental monitoring (indoor air quality and environmental microbiological analysis through air, equipment, and contact service sampling)
• Routine quality control testing.
